If you're looking for a traditional style, large garage with garaging for several vehicles, a triple bay carriage house is the perfect timber building. It's an ideal outbuilding for period homes and is available with either shiplap or weatherboard external cladding and a variety of roofing materials to meet any planning requirements.
We build our carriage houses to order, so whilst a standard triple bay carriage house measures 9.1m x 5.4m (30' x 18'), we can create larger carriage houses to include a cat slide roof and workshop area as well as build them in any configuration or layout. Although we do also offer a single bay carriage house and double bay carriage house if you don't need three bays, we can equally build multiple bays for a range of garaging.
The bays are left open as standard featuring our characteristic curved bracing and framing which can be finished in either oak or pressure-treated softwood, but these can be enclosed with doors, with a frontage including a window and door to create a workshop or any combination thereof.
Our experienced team are able to assist with the design, base plans and elevated drawings for planning, as well as delivering and installing nationwide.
Made from pressure treated timber the Chart range of carriage houses offers nearly unlimited options including parking bays, closed garaging, home offices and garden equipment storage. High-quality FSC/PEFC certified timber and Onduline roof will help to make sure the barn has a long life span.
With a raised ridge height and increased pitch the Chester carriage house is a stand out barn which can also be specified to accept clay or slate tiles (with optional 35° pitch). Adding in an optional upgrade to oak support posts, headers and bracing at the front completes this timeless barn which is at home in country settings. Robustly built to stand the test of time.
